World Environment Day 2023: A Commitment to Environmental Sustainability
In a steadfast commitment to environmental responsibility, we consistently prioritise sustainability throughout our operations. Over 15 years ago, the company took a proactive step by establishing our own quarry to recycle and repurpose materials found on-site. Our founder’s unwavering dedication to minimising waste by promoting recycling has become a lasting legacy. Although he is no longer with us, his daughters, Sarah and Caroline, carry the same passion for the cause.
Building on this foundation, we joined forces with Beyondly to assess and measure our carbon emissions. Through this collaboration, we have diligently calculated our environmental footprint, conducted thorough analyses, and successfully reduced or transitioned to renewable energy sources whenever feasible.
Excitingly, we are also proud to announce our renewed partnership with the esteemed Yorkshire Millennium Trust. We’re committed to producing flourishing communities, and our investment in creating a new community woodland at The Alders in Skipton does just that.
