A New Chapter at Croft Mill: Hannah and Oliver’s Customer Story

We’re delighted to share the story of one of our newest families at Croft Mill, who recently moved into their beautiful new home in Foulridge. With young children and a busy lifestyle, they wanted a home that offered convenience, quality, and a welcoming community—and Croft Mill provided just that.

What initially attracted you to Croft Mill as a development?

“We like that it isn’t a large development, it feels intimate and safe. We have young children, so we’re glad it isn’t on the main road for when they’re playing out. We didn’t live in a new build before, and with a baby, we had no time to renovate a second-hand home. We Part Exchanged our previous home with Skipton Properties, so we had less to worry about as we didn’t have to sell our previous home the traditional way.”

How important was the location of Croft Mill in your decision to buy here?

“We lived close to the area, so we know it well, and we loved the village feel of Foulridge.”

Were there any particular features of the home that stood out to you straight away?

“We loved the natural stone, the curb appeal, and the general quality of the build.”

What do you love most about living at Croft Mill?

“We feel as though the open-plan layout works better for us as a family with young children. We also like to host and entertain, so it’s nice to be all together as a family rather than missing out on things when cooking in the kitchen and keeping an eye on the children. Our home is very warm and insulated, with no drafts—unlike our previous home. We would have never installed a security system in a second-hand home because of the cost, but it gives us peace of mind.”

How have you found the community and neighbourhood?

“The community is good, but with it being winter, we haven’t met some of our neighbours yet, but we’re sure when the sun comes out, we will! We have recommended our friends to come and live at Croft Mill.”

Would you choose Skipton Properties again if you were to move, and why?

“Yes, definitely! The buying process was seamless. The Sales Advisor was great, and the recommended mortgage advisor and solicitors all communicated very well and made the process rather stress-free.”

Is there anything Skipton Properties could have done to improve your overall experience?

“Not really, all snags were corrected—some of which we didn’t even notice ourselves.”
