Natural light – a integral part of our design
Natural light is critical for our health and well-being. It ensures we stay energised as we go about our daily and usually rather exhaustive days! In an effort to assist in providing as much natural light as possible into our homes, and to reduce the need for electrical lighting thus encouraging energy saving during daylight hours, our architects have carefully designed our homes to take full advantage of both Elsey Croft’s prominent position and its orientation within a beautifully elevated setting.
In addition, the dwellings have been designed to ensure that blank gables are avoided, instead designing where possible, further main or secondary windows to gain additional natural light. Further consideration has been given to providing, where suitable, roof lights to take advantage of skylight into rooms. Some of our homes, in our future phases, also have south facing garden rooms with the provision of large roof lights. This further enables our residents to gain natural heat and light as well as enabling our home owners to open up their home to their private garden to bring the outside, inside.
