    A home in Rossendale

    Our signature collection of homes at Spring Mills and Kearns Village in Lancashire and Elsey Croft and Harwal Waterside in Yorkshire are all built of natural, locally sourced stone. Each development takes its inspiration from local architecture but all of them have this one common theme.

    We try, wherever possible, to build out of natural stone. Many of our developments also feature dry stone walls. It’s our mission to create homes that add to and not detract from, the environments in which we build. Many of our customers never thought they’d buy new, but our homes changed their minds. After all, a natural stone built home can have just as much character as an older home but with none of the problems.

    Show Home Silsden

    Pam, our Sales Advisor at Harwal Waterside, has worked for us in many of our locations for almost ten years and will be your point of contact if you are interested in buying a home at our newest development in West Yorkshire.

    What do you love about Silsden?

    I love the way that many areas of the town are being re-developed but with a strong sense of the past. The locals are a friendly bunch and to my delight, lots have popped in to Harwal to see what’s going on. They know what they like and thankfully they approve! Most have commented how much bigger the cottages and apartments are than they look from outside.  Many people I’ve met have never lived anywhere else but Silsden and wouldn’t dream of moving out. No wonder, the town is situated on the Southern facing slope of the Aire Valley; hence is bathed in sunlight…when the weather behaves..  well this is the North of England, and is mostly self-sufficient.

    What’s being built at the moment?

    The original mill is now undergoing extensive refurbishment into 1 and 2 bedroom, comfortable apartments. Most of these have tall, unique aluminium windows with deep sills and in many cases, window seats. If you need a little advice on styling  your home, we are consulting with local interior specialists for suggestions and ideas, from simple budget dressings to the truly sumptuous, costing much less than you might think.

    What’s the best part of your job?

    I love helping our customers make their house a home. I am currently working with our first purchasers who are deciding on kitchen styles and tiling options to personalize their home. We have a great selection to choose from from modern designs to the more traditional.

    We’re absolutely delighted to announce that our Show Home at Spring Mills in the beautiful village of Fence, Lancashire will open on Saturday 4th March at 11am.

    Spring Mills, located on the Wheatley Lane Road, is a development of 22, two, three and four bedroom homes. The development benefits from a village centre location whilst still offering homeowners ample parking.

    Our homes, from our signature collection, are all built out of natural, locally sourced stone. They are designed traditionally to give our customers the best of both worlds. They offer all the benefits of a modern built home with the character of an older home. Inside you’ll be able to choose from our wide range of kitchen doors, worktops and handles to create a kitchen you’ve been dreaming of. Expect brands such as AEG, Hansgrohe and Ideal Standard throughout your home. We like to think our specifications are already bursting but if you would like to upgrade we offer a selection of quartz and granite by local, family-run firm J. Rotherhams (included on some homes), as well as integrated wardrobes and much more.

    Our Show Home is located in a two bedroom cottage called The Brearley. It is a great sized home and is much larger than you might expect. We even managed to fit a large L shaped couch in the living room! We wanted to experiment with a few more striking tones in our latest Show Home so expect vivid blue hues and hints of orange.

  • Apartments at Harwal Waterside

    Our one bedroom apartments situated in Harwal Mill at Harwal Waterside in Silsden, West Yorkshire, have been a hit and as such we’ve sold all of those we had released. Today we’ve released two more!

    They are both located on the top floor of the Mill and benefit from views far and wide over the rooftops. Both are situated on the Eastern side of the mill.

    The first apartment is the Richmond. If you liked the layout of the Show Home this might peak your interest. It’s the same layout, just two floors up! This home is priced at £152,500. The second apartment is the Healey, a slight variation to the Show Home as it features a wrap around kitchen. This home is priced at £140,000.

    We’ve completed the Hughes at Elsey Croft!

    We’ve been very busy recently finishing all our homes in time for Christmas so this home has taken a little longer than we expected. However we can now proudly say that the Hughes is finished.

    The Carriage House

    The Carriage House is one of the largest homes on the development and benefits from a large double garage, loads of space for your family, over an acre of land and stables.   • Christmas is coming!

    Blink and it will be Christmas! Are you as excited as we are?

    We thought we’d let you know that Friday 23rd December will be the last day for all of us at Skipton Properties. We’ll be finishing at lunchtime so that our team can throw on their Christmas jumpers and get a little festive at our annual Christmas party! We’ll re open on the 3rd January at 8:30am at Head Office.

    Our Marketing Suites will close at the same time this Friday 23rd, however they will be open on the 29th and 30th December. After we have rung in the New Year they will re-open on Monday 2nd January.
