We have created a team that share our vision, they love what they do and as a result they build better homes. They believe what we believe.
What do we believe?
Family – Always putting family first from the design of our homes to the work/life balance of our employees
We believe in the concept of family. We’d be nothing without ours. By family we don’t just mean your relations but the networks of friends that would be there for you through thick and thin. We understand how important it is to bring the family together which is why our homes are, more often than not, designed open plan. Work/life balance is incredibly important to us also. It’s not just about how much time you spend at work but how much you enjoy your work when you’re there.
People – Inspiring each other to be the best we can be
At Skipton Properties we focus on training and collaborative thinking to achieve creative solutions. We work together and learn from each other to be the best we can be every day. Inspiring our employees is a top priority which is why we’re talking to Investors in People. We are always looking to improve every area of our business. From the design of our homes to the customer service we offer. Feedback from our customers informs this process so that we always strive to build better homes.

We like to think we’re a little bit different to other housing developers. We approach every development with passion. Every home is a personal project. We are perfectionists, which means that we are constantly re-imagining our designs so that we create homes that you’re excited to come back to at the end of a long day.
Caring/Heart – Everything we do we do because we care. We care about our customers, the community and the environment
Being a family business, run by a father and his two daughters, we’re very passionate about what we do. If we make a mistake we take it personally. We care about the impact we have on the areas we build in and focus on creating developments that enhance communities. We give back to the communities we build in by donating to the services that support them. Our recent Community Grants Scheme has helped disadvantaged children…. it’s helped community centres keep their doors open…. it’s helped local schools buy the books they need and it has helped a local church provide support to the community. We’re constantly trying to reduce our environmental footprint too by reducing and recycling waste.
Why is having a set of values so important?
Our values inform everything we do. During difficult times they remind us why we get up and go to work. We’ve built over 3000 homes since we were founded in 1986. It’s our dream to be looking back in another thirty years at the homes we have built and the communities we have created. To do this we need to strive to be better every single day and that’s exactly what we’re doing.
We’re delighted to announce that as of today we have released the first few homes at our newest development,
