    POP UP SHOW HOME NOW OPEN IN THE ELDER – PLOT 29….

    We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you. We are closing our Show Home in Plot 1 at The Alders, Skipton, and it will soon become the warm abode for a new family.

    Closing the doors of The Middleton in Plot 1 signifies the end of one chapter but opens another. We are delighted to introduce a temporary pop-up show home in The Elder, showcasing our innovative bungalow concept in Plot 29. We kindly ask for your understanding and patience as we navigate through this transition period, ensuring that every detail aligns seamlessly with our commitment to excellence. We’ll let you know as soon as we are ready, however, please note that our Sales Office will be in the Elder whilst we transform the space so feel free to pop in or book an appointment in the meantime.

    The Elder, with its distinctive bungalow design, captures the essence of comfortable and contemporary living. This pop-up is being created to give you another experience of our homes while we eagerly prepare for the next phase of our journey.     We are delighted to announce the launch of our newest development, The Willows in Silsden, West Yorkshire.   • UK Housing Market Expected to Rise in 2024!

    Dreaming of living in a Skipton Properties home? It may be more reachable than you think!

    In recent news from The Guardian, a top estate agent shared that UK house prices are likely to go up in 2024, defying earlier expectations of a decline. This boost is thanks to a competitive mortgage pricing battle and the anticipation of interest rate cuts by the Bank of England, sparking renewed interest in the property market.

    After a year of prices falling in 2023, global property consultancy Knight Frank has changed its prediction. They now expect UK house prices to increase by 3% in 2024, overturning the earlier estimate of a 4% drop.

    Against a backdrop of decreasing inflation and growing excitement about potential interest rate cuts, Knight Frank believes that the recent increase in mortgage approvals will lead to a significant rise in property transactions. They predict a potential increase of at least 10% in transactions throughout the year.

    Adding to the positive outlook, the online property website Rightmove reports a considerable rise in asking prices for new sellers. Between December and January, asking prices went up by an average of 1.3%, equal to £4,571. This increase is the most significant for this time of year since before the pandemic, suggesting a strong and thriving UK housing market in 2024.     Mortgage news 🏡 Danny Belton, Head of Lending at Mortgage Advice Bureau, said, “The launch of a host of new lower rates is a welcome boost to those looking to buy or remortgage, especially after a challenging 2023. While we have started 2024 positively with a few rate reductions, by May, we could see the first base rate cut, assuming conditions have continued to improve.”

    Colne Open Door Centre Receives Two Large Boxes of Toys for Gift Hampers

    Colne Open Door Centre, an organisation dedicated to community welfare, received a generous donation in the form of two large boxes of toys. The toys will be a part of over 250 gift hampers arranged by the centre for young children in the community. These hampers, complete with wrapping paper and Sellotape, allow parents and guardians to actively participate in the joy of giving during the holiday season.
