    Christmas tree

Demonstrating our commitment to the community through a heart-warming Christmas charity campaign.

This year, we have extended our support to several local organisations, significantly impacting the lives of those in need during the festive season.

Friends of Foulridge Receives 30 Selection Boxes for Annual Christmas Event

We kicked off our charitable endeavours by contributing 30 selection boxes to Friends of Foulridge for their annual Christmas event. The event, held in aid of Curry on the Street, aims to support this incredible organisation that provides warm meals, shelter, and essential mental health advice to those who need it most. Our contribution ensures that the Christmas spirit is felt by all, even in challenging times. We then asked Maureen (who helped organise the event) to open our Show Home at Croft Mill, Foulridge officially!

Colne Open Door Centre Receives Two Large Boxes of Toys for Gift Hampers

Colne Open Door Centre, an organisation dedicated to community welfare, received a generous donation in the form of two large boxes of toys. The toys will be a part of over 250 gift hampers arranged by the centre for young children in the community. These hampers, complete with wrapping paper and Sellotape, allow parents and guardians to actively participate in the joy of giving during the holiday season. Skipton Properties is proud to support Colne Open Door Centre in their mission to provide counselling, unemployment advice, and free food parcels to those in need.

The Hive, Silsden Benefits from Skipton Properties’ Chocolate Donation

Skipton Properties also lent a helping hand to The Hive by donating lots of chocolates for their annual Christmas raffle. All proceeds from the raffle will directly contribute to the community-run centre’s initiatives. You can engage services from organisations like RICS or RPSA. Your Sales Advisor will have a list of recommended companies. Please note this will be a cost borne by yourselves.
    • Home Demonstration: You will have the opportunity to attend a ‘home demonstration’ where your Sales Advisor will explain all the features of your home. Your Site Manager will also be present to address your questions.

If you’re in search of a delightful country village conveniently located near Colne, Lancashire, with a picturesque ambience perfect for settling down, Foulridge is the ideal choice, and our latest development, Croft Mill, is nestled in this charming village.

Foulridge boasts a rich history, once serving as a thriving hub for hat-making, and you can still see evidence of the weavers’ cottages that surround the village. Running alongside Foulridge is accompanied by the expansive Lake Burwain, often referred to as the Foulridge Reservoir. This serene lake offers ample opportunities for boating and yachting year-round. Notably, the reservoir feeds into the historic Leeds to Liverpool Canal, home to the renowned Mile Tunnel and Canal Wharf. The Canal Wharf is a picturesque section of the waterway where you can embark on a boat cruise, savour a drink and a meal, or stroll along the towpath, soaking in the picturesque surroundings. The beautifully restored canal-side warehouse, now a charming café bar, and the Mile Tunnel, a tourist attraction, are of particular interest.

Foulridge itself boasts a collection of traditional, locally crafted stone buildings, many of which have stood for centuries. The village offers a pub, The Hare and Hounds Inn and The Wharf, a cafe steeped in history. One of which is nestled right on the banks of Canal Wharf. Additionally, you can enjoy The New Inn, and for those craving diverse flavours, the Four Elephants, a delightful Indian restaurant, offers both dine-in and takeaway options. Foulridge House is another convenient takeout choice for those who prefer Chinese cuisine.

    Foulridge Wharf Canal

The village’s main street features a bakery, butcher shop, and hair salon, with a special recommendation for Darpo Hair Studio. Furthermore, Foulridge is the location of Saint Michael and All Angels CofE VA, a village primary school that ensures accessible education for local families. For families seeking recreational activities, Thornton Hall Farm Park and Country Hall offer an excellent day out with a fantastic indoor play area, making it an all-weather attraction for children. Akincoats Park, featuring sports facilities, play areas, and a charming cafe, is another local amenity worth exploring. Supermarkets such as Sainsbury’s and Aldi are conveniently located within a short drive from the development, making grocery shopping hassle-free for residents. Sainsbury’s is a mere 4-minute drive away, with Aldi and additional shopping options situated in the surrounding industrial estates.

Nestled within the picturesque locale of Foulridge, Lancashire, Croft Mill awaits. Seventeen remarkable two-storey homes crafted from natural stone grace this landscape, each boasting an alluring style and unique charm.

Within this collection of 17 homes, thirteen are thoughtfully designed with three bedrooms, while four offer four bedrooms, all meticulously crafted from natural stone. These residences also incorporate solar panels, a testament to our energy and financial efficiency dedication.
