  • Your feedback matters to us

    shutterstock_216714883 copyWe always love to hear feedback from our customers, whether good or bad. We use this to thank our employees or look at where we can improve; we’re a family company and we care about the homes that we build and the communities we create.

    We received three reviews this week without even asking for them:

    The first came from one of our residents at Falcon Park, Settle, North Yorkshire. The purchaser had met our Managing Director in passing whilst checking through his home and was extremely happy to report, and possibly a bit surprised, that there was nothing to address!

    The second has come from a resident at the Poplars, Bradford, West Yorkshire. She wanted to let us know how happy she is with her house, commend us on our outstanding customer service and to give us a big thank you.

    The last was from another resident at Falcon Park, Settle who had simply wanted to say what a nice bunch of people we employed. He was pleased to see that they were interested in his house purchase and how he was settling in.

    We’re delighted to announce that we will be building a collection of new homes just off the Green Lane in Glusburn this year. The development will be called ‘The Green at Glusburn’.

    There will be a range of thoughtfully designed 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes available, all built out of natural stone with traditional mullioned windows to blend with local architecture.

  • Sponsoring Junior Cricket in Skipton

    We are delighted to announce that we are sponsoring the junior team at Skipton Cricket Club. The money will go to developing further facilities to attract more youngsters into the game.

    A little about The Club

    The Club is committed to the development of junior cricket and with its ECB Clubmark accreditation, Skipton is a progressive club with the largest junior set up in the Upper Airedale area. As a result there is now a record number of teams across all ages from Under 9 to Under 17, competing in the Upper Airedale Junior Cricket Association.

    We have a range of house styles available in this initial phase, ranging from two bedrooms to four. All homes have garages whether they are internal or detached, and all our homes in this phase are detached or link-detached (linked by their garages),

    Prices at Elsey Croft, Skipton start from £214,950.

  • Our homes in Skipton: The specification

    A specification for the discerning home owner

    We are very pleased to have opened our Sales Office today at Elsey Croft, Skipton, which will be appointment only for the first month.

    At Skipton Properties we always go one step further and our homes at Elsey Croft are no exception. Some of the highlights of our specification include a wide range of both traditional and modern soft close kitchens with under pelmet lighting, low energy LED downlights to all kitchens, bathrooms and cloakrooms across, Ideal Standard ‘Concept’ pottery (a favourite of our previous buyers) and A rated AEG appliances. In our four bedroom homes you’ll also find modern chrome towel radiators in both the main bathroom and ensuite(s). What’s more in our Twistleton and Ermysted, you’ll find underfloor heating to the ground floor; underfloor heating has a range of benefits – mainly that it allows a room to heat much more evenly but it also allows more space to be used to place furniture instead.

    Other points to note from our specification (since it is quite long!) – are our Burford moulded white painted doors and integrated wardrobes that come as standard in two of the rooms in all our four bedroom homes.

  • Elsey Croft Skipton House Types

    The wait is almost over!

    WaitAlmostOverThose of you who have expressed an interest in our upcoming development, Elsey Croft in Skipton, North Yorkshire, will be receiving outline information on house styles and prices tomorrow evening via email.

    If you haven’t given us your email then please email us at [email protected] if you would like to receive this information before everyone else.

    We’ll be introducing you to our Sales Advisor who will be your point of contact for the development. You’ll be able to make appointments to discuss your requirements with her in February.

    It is our plan to have a Sales Office on the development so you can discuss your requirements with our Sales Advisor in person. You’ll also be able to have a look at the style of kitchens on offer and other elements of our homes. We will be accepting early bird reservations on nine of the homes, excluding the Show Home.

    Barry and Sally moved into their new Branwell home late last year and have been thrilled with both the home and its location.

    The Branwell is one of our four bedroom homes at Falcon Park, Settle, which have all now been sold. However we still have a great range of two, three and four bedroom homes available, with prices starting from £184,950.

    ‘One of the best decisions we have ever made’

    Our house is “home” ready, with wonderful views across fields and undulating hills. The living accommodation is stylish, well fitted out and has plenty of space for family and friends to come and stay.
 Skipton Properties have been so thorough in the building of our new home, giving opportunities for upgrades if needed to match as closely as possible to individual tastes. Pam Whittaker, the sales advisor, is amazing. She listens and guides you through the whole process of buying your new home – her customer service is second to none!  The Site Manager was also very thorough in making sure everything is in order on completion. This was one of the best decisions we have ever made and we are now excited in beginning our new life adventure in our wonderful home in Settle!

  • The year of the first time buyer

    2014 showed an increase of 22% on 2013, with approximately 326,500 buying a home for the first time across the UK. This makes 2014 the best year for first time buyers since 2007.

    Why?

    With mortgage rates becoming more competitive and with the introduction of Help to Buy, purchasers found buying a home to be within reach. The Halifax says that the average deposit dropped by 7% even though house prices were on the up.
