We discovered some beautiful images of Hitching Stone in Keighley and wanted to suggest the walk to you. We’re told it’s quite tough in that much of it is quite boggy, especially at certain times of the year where rainfall is high, but judging by this image it’s worth the struggle. Walking Britain highlights the easiest route, which is from the Post Office in Cowling. For the full route please click here. What is Hitching Stone? It’s said to be Yorkshire’s largest boulder – its weight is estimated to be approximately 1000 tonnes and it was used to mark the boundary between Yorkshire and Lancashire. Have you walked this route? Can you tell us what you think? Can you suggest some other hidden gems? Whether it’s your favourite restaurant, shop or health centre. We’d love to hear from you.
