The site of the former Victoria Mills in the village of Sabden, Lancashire is being transformed into 30 new homes…
Reclaimed stone and slate from the former mill, as well as dark windows have been used to reflect the development’s industrial heritage. Two eco towers will be created out of the former mill tower and will be used to create focal points alongside Sabden Brook. A landscaping scheme has been designed to blend all of these elements together.
The development is split into two parts, one on either side of Sabden Brook. The larger of the two will be accessed from Watt Street and will feature a selection of three and four bedroom homes. The second, located off Whalley Road, will feature the largest homes on the development and will be home to just 6 properties. Many of our homes located to the south west of the development will benefit from the views to the adjoining farmland. Of course, all of our homes will sit against the backdrop of the dramatic Pendle countryside.
We wanted to use the reclaimed stone from the mill in order to retain its historical importance for the village, the reclaimed slate provides the finishing touches. The development has been designed with ecology at its heart and as such there will be bat and bird boxes positioned throughout. The lighting to the homes has also been considered. Each property will feature low lumen lighting in order to create the right habitat for the species found on the development.
Inside, you’ll find our high quality specification synonymous with a Verity & Homes Collection development throughout. The kitchens, available in a range of contemporary and traditional styles, are all soft close and feature a full range of AEG appliances. Both our bathrooms and kitchens will be lit with downlighting. The bathrooms all feature modern chrome radiators and tiling in a style to suit your tastes. Our larger homes all feature Stove Range Cookers, some (where possible) also feature our signature fireplaces. Energy efficiency has also been considered which is why all our new homes will have honeywell energy saving systems.
Our focus is currently plots 1-7, which features a selection of different styles of three bedroom homes, all with garages. Our Show Home, due to launch on Saturday 31st August, will be situated in Plot 5 (It can be seen on the left hand side of the first image above).
