Your new home warranty

When you buy a Skipton Properties home it comes with a 10-year structural warranty for your protection and peace of mind. Under the terms of this warranty, you are protected should certain problems arise with your new home. 

Please read your Warranty Policy Document and in particular cover for each period and exclusions.

It includes two periods: 

– Defects Insurance Period (valid for 2 years from warranty commencement)

– Structural Insurance Period (years 3 – 10)

The first two years

During this time, we are responsible for rectifying any snags, defects, major defects and emergencies. You must report these to our Customer Care team in Head Office by calling 01535 639620, choosing option 4, or emailing [email protected]. We advise that you keep copies of your correspondence with us. 

Please refer to the documentation provided by your warranty provider for more information.

Years 3-10

If there is a problem with your home during years 3-10 you are covered by your build warranty. Please contact the warranty provider directly. 

We usually offer a warranty from the LABC at most of our developments, but sometimes this may vary so please refer to the information given to you at reservation.
