YOur Journey

Moving day

The day has finally arrived, but what can you expect?!

Your Sales Advisor will get in touch with you to confirm your move-in day.

In the week leading up to your completion, you will be invited to the development to perform your home tour. We try and do this in advance of completion as it’s a lot to take in, and we’d rather do this separately so it’s not lost in the excitement of getting your keys.

At the appointment, we will show you how your house works so you’re able to operate your boiler and cylinder if you have one and operate your alarm and any appliances in your kitchen. Please leave an hour or so to allow us to do this thoroughly.

We’ll soon be launching some video tutorials to remind you how to do this, so watch this space!

The day has arrived. What next? It is our experience that completion monies tend to arrive with us late in the afternoon, and it is at this point we can give you your keys. We recommend you ensure your removal company is aware of this.

Please remember we cannot book your completion appointment in advance as we can’t predict when the monies will arrive with us. Please bear with us and make sure you are flexible on the day. We will do what we can to ensure we get you into your home quickly, but please note we are at the mercy of the banking and legal system.

We’ll call you when we have received notification we can give you your keys, and at this point, you can make your way to your new home!

Once you have arrived at the development, we’ll take meter readings, go through a few things in your handover booklet and take a final tour of your home before we leave you in peace to enjoy your first night.

And, to make your move-in day even easier, we’ve teamed up with ‘Transfermybills, making utility switching as easy as ABC! From electric to water, council tax to TV providers – their free online service covers it all, so managing utilities has never been easier, and you’ll have more time for the fun stuff!
